The West Main site in Bellevue was designed with inspiration from the historic creek that once ran through the city. The large open courtyard that separates the buildings reflects the natural flow of water.
We expanded upon this concept in the wayfinding and graphics program by creating a "through line" that echoes the historic movement of water through the site. The materials used reflected smoothed water rocks that would have been found in the creek, the “line” acting as water and carving through the stones. The clean line-work for type and icons gave the site and parking garage a cohesive visual story that is both clear and consistent.
